Try to focus on a single object if you feel vertigo coming on. Keeping your focus on a single, steady object can help alleviate the feeling of dizziness caused by vertigo.

Use quality lighting and night lights if you experience vertigo at night. Keeping areas well lit will help reduce the chance of injury. This is especially helpful if you experience a sudden onset of vertigo when you get up during the night to go to the bathroom or grab a snack.
