Vitamin E
Squeezing the oil from a vitamin E capsule directly onto your canker sores several times a day can help them heal faster.
Liquid Antacid
Swishing some Mylanta or Milk of Magnesia around in your mouth can make canker sores heal much faster.
Watch What You Eat
Certain foods can aggravate canker sores, making them hurt more and take longer to heal. So, if you have canker sores, avoid foods that are spicy, acidic, or salty. Also avoid alcoholic beverages. In fact, avoid anything that causes your canker sores to sting or burn.
You also want to avoid foods that could damage or stab the skin of your mouth, like potato chips, tortilla chips (especially those with jagged edges), crackers, or any other foods that are crunchy or hard.
