Natural Treatment of Urinary Incontinence
1. While exercising, women can insert a tampon into the vagina to prevent leakage.
2. If squeezing or coughing causes urine leakage, squeeze your pelvic muscles or cross your legs.
3. If you are away from home without ready access to a bathroom, drink minimum amount of fluids before bedtime.
4. Obesity causes stress incontinence, hence maintain a balanced weight.
5.Kegel Exercise
Trace the muscles, which causes incontinence by tightening up the muscles and try to stop the flow.
Contract and relax the muscles 3 times a day, performing 15-20 squeezes each time.
Try to hold back each contraction for 10 seconds.
6. Practice bladder training
When you are awake, schedule toileting every 2 hours.
Then every alternate day increase the toileting intervals by 30 minutes aiming to reach 4hour intervals.
7. If you have an urge to urinate in between your scheduled timings, relax, stay still, perform a Kegel contraction and after the urge has passed move to a bathroom.
8. Frequent urination, can be stimulated by tea, coffee or cola, so minimize intake.
