Internal Applications

Ginger – take a slice of ginger and suck on it to reduce symptoms. Alternatively, drink herbal tea made with ginger and honey for 10 minutes.

Cardamom – boil ½ teaspoon of fresh cardamom powder in 2 cups of water. Strain the liquid and drink a glassful while it is warm.

Mint – chew on mint leaves for relief.

Honey – eat 2 tablespoons of honey for instant relief.

Lemon – drink a shot of lemon juice for some relief. You can also eat a lemon or lemon wedge or take a wedge of lemon and sprinkle it with sugar and then take 1/3 teaspoon of bitters and put it on top of the wedge. Suck on the lemon wedge until there is no juice left.

Peppermint – add a drop of essential oil to a small glass of water and drink.
Repeat this herbal remedy as necessary.

Dill – eat dill, either the fresh herb or as a dill pickle to relieve symptoms.

Castor – mix 1 teaspoon of honey with 1 teaspoon of castor oil. Dip your finger into the mixture every 2 or 3 minutes and lick the mixture off.
