Bursitis

Bursitis is a spot on the body that has a dull, persistant ache that gets worse when moved. There may be redness and swelling, also. Bursitis is often referred to as “tennis elbow” or “frozen shoulder”. Bursitis is cause by an inflammation of small fluid filled sacs between the tendons and the bones called bursa. Bursa helps protect the bones and other tissues from grinding together. When the bursa becomes inflamed it can cause redness, swelling, pain, tenderness to the touch, heat in the area and limitation of motion.
