Garlic usually tops the list for herbal aids for a healthy heart. It may stabilize LDL cholesterol. Rich in phyto chemicals and important nutrients, hawthorn dilates coronary blood vessels, lowers blood pressure and cholesterol levels, and promotes a healthy heart muscle.Take Hawthorn as a supplement.

Ginger, Turmeric and onions are herbal additions to a heart healthy regimen. Ginger is an important Ayurvedic herb and is rich in phytochemicals, amino acids and essential fatty acids, to name but a few properties. Ginger may help to lower cholesterol and blood pressure. Turmeric has phytochemicals, curcumin and many other properties that aid circulation, lower cholesterol and promotes healthy blood vessels. Onions are considered to be Super Foods with rich flavonoid content. Shallots are the best of all onions for flavonoids, which have been shown to reduce the risk of heart disease.
